Anxiety and Excess Worry

Would you like help dealing with your anxiety? I treat anxiety from a cognitive behavioral approach to help reduce worry, anxious rumination, avoidance, and unwanted intrusive thoughts.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) works by looking at how our thoughts and feelings are connected. In many cases, these thoughts and feelings may be causing more distress than is necessary. Anxiety and worry can manifest in many different forms like Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, or Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

The goal of therapy, using a CBT approach, is to often shift these distressing thoughts and feelings to a more manageable level. Anxiety counseling may include having homework assignments to help learn new skills and reduce unwanted symptoms. Together we can overcome these hurdles!
